54/365 - Toadstool

SOOC

A toadstool pushing it's way through the grass and dead leaves.
Can you see the cicada?
I didn't even notice him when I was taking the photo.
It's funny the things you don't see until you look at macro photos. The lense picks up all sorts of things that we just don't see. I love that about macro.

yes, this looks like something straight out of a children's book. what a colorful mushroom. I've never seen one like this myself. is the cicada lying on its side in the foreground? lovely shot Ky :)

What an interesting photo. I am not sure I've ever seen a toadstool like this. It really does have white polka-dots!

This doesn't even look real! I've never seen a toadstool like this (unless my memory has failed me again, and I promise nothing on this matter). And we don't have cicadas here, though I know one when I see one! You can keep them! LOL
