28/365 - Green

Lomo-ish

Green is my favourite colour. It looks good on this very cute Mini.

Phew, I made it through a whole month of my 365. Shall I try for another?
Yes, why not!

26/365 - Petunia Macro

Cropped, boosted and gritted

Just mucking about with the macro and editing.
A bit of fun before I head on out to a girls night out. We're going on a date with Michael the Buble!
Doubt I'll get close enough for a pic, but I'll tell you all about it on The Miss K Way tomorrow.

25/365 - Bad Photo Friday

I just can't seem to get this photo to do anything for me. I like it, but I don't. So, I'm declaring that Friday's on Teacups and Graffiti shall be known as, Bad Photo Friday! I thought of calling it, Crap Photo Friday, but I thought we could do without the common language.
I really hope I remember to do this again next Friday.

I have taken WAY badder photos this week, but I'm choosing this one. I don't want to show off too much on the first day.

'Ave a good weekend and don't forget the Aerogard!

23/365 - Asleep at the Hairdresser

Edited in Picnik - cross process and vignette

The only time I ever see Monkey sit quietly and still is when he is having his hair cut. He likes having his hair cut. I think it relaxes him.
He must have been super relaxed during his last hair cut because he fell asleep!
Neither the hairdresser or I could wake him. He was out!
Of course I had to capture this moment on my iPhone.
It's priceless!

I'm linking to this weeks challenge of a photo taken with a phone at i heart faces.

22/365 - 1000 Steps

Cross processed and boosted colour

I took this on my iPhone today during the workout of workouts. The famous 1000 steps at Ferntree Gully. If you want to find out how unfit you really are, try this. It's hard and it hurts, but you feel so good when you've finished.

21/365 - A Tower and a Clock

This tower is at St Kilda, opposite the St Kilda Sea Baths.

I'm a day behind on this challenge. I think I have been for a week now. Catching up when I can.
I haven't even finished a whole month of this challenge and I'm already struggling with it. I think I need to go on some outings and find some interesting things or people to shoot.

Cup o' marshmallow anyone?
I made these for the Garden Tea Party yesterday.

18/365 - Random Door

Cross processed with Picnik

I don't mind taking the odd photo of an interesting door. This one caught my eye as I passed by because of the bright green next to the bright blue of the wall.
A lady passing by kindly offered to take a photo of me with the door. I of course declined. I mentioned that I just like taking random photos. Funny how doing a 365 makes you do that.

Hope you're all having a great weekend.

I adore her! The end.

16/365 - Eggs

1960's effect with Picnik

I really do love having free range eggs to eat. I enjoy collecting them too.

15/365 - Somersaults Into The Water

Edited with Picnik - cross processed
Apologies for being a little absent this week. I'm focused on something else and haven't been taking photos or have been on the computer. So, it's catch up time.

This is the Monkey doing somersaults into the spa. Don't stress, he was under close adult supervision. He was having the best time. It made for some very cool photos.

14/365 - Joy of Love - Wedding Band

This is not my husbands wedding band, but it is his ring. He's away today so I'm not able to photograph his wedding band, but this ring is more precious to me anyway.
He wore it when we met. Then when we were engaged, we got our initials engraved on it.
We now share this ring. He wears it on his left pinkie finger and I wear it on my right middle finger. I wear it most often, but happily hand it over when he wants to wear it.
It's very special to me, to us.

Happy Valentines Day.

Linking to today's Willette's Joy of Love.

13/365 - Pearls and Feathers

This was supposed to be posted yesterday. Oops! I was a little busy and just didn't get around to it.
Nothing special here. Just a bunch of bead necklaces and feather boas that have been edited in a fun way.
I adjusted the colour and saturation then added Ortonish in Picnik. Just mucking around with it and having a bit of fun really.

12/365 - An Angel and a Teacup

Cropped and vignette with Picnik

My Angel, enjoying a cup of 'tea'. It's actually milk.
I don't know how to get rid of that hair that is crossing her left eye (your right). It's quite annoying to look at.
She has such dreamy eyes. They are incredibly expresive too.
Anyway, I hope you focus on the teacup instead. It's such a pretty teacup. Just the right size for her.

To see more beautiful eyes head to willette - the joy of love #12.

11/365 - Old School

Edited in Picnik with the sepia effect

It's quite unusual for me not to have a smidge of time in my day to at least get on the computer quickly, but yesterday there was NO time at all. I was on the go from the moment I got up to the moment I finally fell into bed late last night. Hence no 365 photo yesterday. So I'll have to do two today.
I spent yesterday with one of my besties scouring op shops, having coffee and just hanging out. We hadn't seen each other in a year! Was the best fun EVER!
We dropped into the Chapel St Bazaar for a look. We didn't know where to look first! It is jam packed with so much awesome, vintage stuff!
The above photo is one of the very few photos I took yesterday. Taken on my p&s. Reminds me of when I was in Grade 1. Back in the days of the school port. Love it!

10/365 - A Red Plane

Cropped and cross processed with Picnik

Since we moved to Melbourne from Brisbane a year ago, we have been to the airport quite a few times for pick ups and drop offs. We went again yesterday.
I took this photo with my P&S, through the glass. Did you know that all the Virgin Blue planes have different names? This one is called 'Chitty Chitty Broome Broome'. It's written underneath the lady flying the Aussie flag. I thought it was really cool

9/365 - Camera Man

If you are a follower of my other blog then you will know that I don't mind a bit of graffiti art. I was driving through the city this morning and saw this guy out of the corner of my eye. I HAD to stop quickly and take a photo. Just thought all you photo buffs out there would like to see him.

I've only cropped this photo very slightly otherwise it's SOOC (a photography term I have just learned).

Would you like to have a cuppa with me?

6/365 - Scavanger Hunt Sunday

This is my first time doing the Scavanger Hunt Sunday photo challenge.
I didn't think it would take too long to do, but it's taken me awhile to take the photos, then choose which photos to use, then edit them using Picnik and now writing up this post. It's been fun though.

Todays items are water, quote, window, activity and page 25 of a magazine.

1. Water - taken while the kids were playing in the spa today.

2. Quote - I hope she surrounds herself with really great people throughout her life. She's already great and I'd love for her to stay that way. I should have edited this photo a little more.

3. Window - Tinted windows in an office building. This is the reflection I saw as I walked past.

4. Activity - Cycling is one of his favourite activities. Anytime, anyplace!

5. Page 25 in a magazine - I took this outside in the dappled sunlight.

Challenge completed!

5/365 - A Suburban Path

Taken quickly from the car window with my p&s while I waited for a gap in the traffic.
It's a cloudy and rainy day here today so the lighting is well distributed, although, I think it would have been a more interesting photo if the sun had been out and cast a lot more shadows along the path.

And yes, I got beeped from the car behind for taking too long.

Linking this to Farmgirl Paints whose photo challenge this week is lines and contrast in photos.
Btw, she chose the photo I entered last week from The Miss K Way as one of her two favourites for that weeks challenge. Thank you Becky!

4/365 - Macro Rose

Groooaan, I hear you say. Not another rose shot! Not another macro shot!

Yes, but, it's MY rose, in MY garden and it's MY macro shot.

Macro is fun, but I do need a lot more practise.

3/365 - A Door

There is nothing particularly clever about this photo. No special moment in time was captured.
It's a boring, point and shoot photo. Plain and simple!
BUT...
do you notice something a little odd about this door?

2/365 - Coolest Elevator in Melbourne

This photo was taken from the back of the only elevator in Melbourne that has this guy in it all day long to manually slide the door open and press the buttons for you. He loves it!
Not my best photo ever, but, can you feel how small the space is?
The whole inside of this lift is covered in postcards, clippings, stickers, posters, garlands of flowers. There's almost no empty spots on the walls.
It's just the coolest!

1/365 - So Much Energy

This photo was actually taken on my iPhone.
It was after Monkey's swimming lesson and he was running and jumping through this ring of spraying water.
I love how it captures his sense of mischief and his energy.
