No Longer Posting Here

Hello dear T&G followers.

Just popping in to tell you that Teacups and Graffiti as a blog will no longer be posting.
BUT, if you'd still like to follow along I will be doing a Teacups and Graffiti photography post on my other blog, The Miss K Way, every Tuesday.

I hope to see you there.

Ye Olde Factory

This gorgeous, brick factory is now the centre of attention in a shopping centre in the middle of Melbourne city. It's very cool indeed.
That's one way of building on a heritage listed site. Just build around it and make it a feature.

I Heart Churches

Old churches are so fun to photograph. The architecture is just amazing on most of them.
They have so much depth and character. All that stone, wrought iron and intricate carvings.
Love 'em!

Now, on a completely different subject, I've started using Instagram on my iPhone. It's a free app, which is always a good thing.  My user name is kylie_n. (Yes, I know that's a boring user name, but all the other names I wanted were taken. I was going to go with 'yaplonkah', but didn't know how people would take that.) It's a much easier way of sharing photos than blogging, so you'll see a lot more from me on Instagram. Follow along if you like and then I can follow you back. Ya'll know I love to look at photos.

Have a lovely Monday!

He Goes Non-Stop

We discovered this skate park. We didn't have his scooter with us. He made do with his bum and his legs.
Running, climbing, sliding, running, climbing, sliding...
Non-stop for the whole 15 minutes that we stayed there.
He had fun!!!
His jeans are filthy!
Next time, we will bring the scooter.

Abstract, Comical and Just Plain Weird

The graffiti lane way where these photos were taken has changed a lot since I was last there, five months ago. I only recognised two or three artworks from the previous time.
I'll have to drop in again in a few months to see more new work.

Here's a graffiti artist doing his thang.
Stay tuned for more graffiti art this coming week.

My Mum's Day Pressies

This isn't really a photo worthy of being put up on a photography blog(hence the cross process), but, I'm putting it up to show my Mum and my mummy friends.
These are the precious gifts that were made for me by my kids for Mother's Day.
Daughter made the bunch of foam flowers at school and Son made the beaded necklace and picture at Preschool. I'm especially excited about his picture because I  haven't seen him draw faces so well or his name so legibly. I was so excited about it!
Best Mum's Day pressies ever!!!

Hope all you yummy mummy's had a great Mothers Day.

ps. If you haven't already worked it out, I'm not doing the 365 anymore. I will however, still be putting up photos when I get time. Just as if it's still a 365 but without counting them because it won't be every day.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I haven't visited any of you back or replied to emails because I just don't spend much time on the computer anymore. I'll try to come see you soon though. x

65/365 - Another Dandelion

This is the other side of the dandelion puff I photographed last week.

Just so you know, I knew it was a dandelion, I just wasn't sure of what it was called once it was in seed.
It was very interesting reading what the different names for it are.
Thanks for that.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

64/365 - Rocky

This is Rocky.
He's lived with me since I was 13.
I really wanted a bulldog back then so my dad brought him home for me.
He's the best dog ever!
He doesn't make a mess.
He doesn't bark.
He doesn't chew shoes or dig holes.
He just stands guard.

I'm showing you Rocky today because Becky asked to see him.

62/365 - Lest We Forget

Today is a very special day in Australia and New Zealand.
It is ANZAC day.

The day we remember those who have fought for our freedom.
The day we remember the fallen.

We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

61/365 - Make A Wish

These are cool!
I've seen a few macro's of these in the blogosphere and each one is magical.

I cannot for the life of me remember what they are called.
Can you help me out?

58/365 - Bottlebrush

A native Australian flower.
It's a rather strange looking flower with no scent.
Fantastic to photograph though.

57/365 - Macro Mushroom

SOOC

I have no conscience when it comes to cheating on my 365.
This photo was taken last weekend, along with the other mushroom photos that I've put up in the past week.
What can I say? They need to be shown.
The end.

54/365 - Toadstool

SOOC

A toadstool pushing it's way through the grass and dead leaves.
Can you see the cicada?
I didn't even notice him when I was taking the photo.
It's funny the things you don't see until you look at macro photos. The lense picks up all sorts of things that we just don't see. I love that about macro.

53/365 - My Little Chicky Babe

Taken with my pocket camera. I'm beginning to think that I shouldn't use it anymore. It just doesn't take good photos. This one was about the best of a bunch of photos I took. Most of the others are a bit blurry and I have no idea why. I'm often not happy with photos taken with my P&S.
Oh well, there's always the iPhone in emergencies.
